Terms of Service
Last updated: July 5, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply when you use the Quiet Exit website and purchase or use our setup service ("Service"). By using our site or buying our Service, you agree to these Terms.
What we provide
Quiet Exit provides a setup service that configures networking hardware so your devices can connect back through your own home internet connection while you travel. You purchase the required hardware separately, based on our recommendations. The hardware you buy is yours.
What we don't provide
Quiet Exit is intended to help you keep normal, lawful access to your own accounts and services while away from home. You agree not to use our Service to break the law, violate the terms of services you use, or engage in fraud or other harmful activity. You are responsible for how you use your connection.
Fees & payment
Our setup fee and any optional add-ons are described on our website and confirmed before you buy. Prices are in U.S. dollars, and payments are processed securely by Stripe. Optional add-on plans renew until cancelled and can be cancelled at any time.
Refunds
Because Side Door is a hands-on setup service, the setup fee covers the work we perform for you. If you cancel before we begin configuring your setup, you're entitled to a full refund of the setup fee. Once setup work has started, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. The router and home-station hardware are purchased separately from third-party sellers and are subject to those sellers' own return policies — Quiet Exit does not control or refund third-party hardware purchases.
Support
We provide human support by email to help you get set up and resolve issues. We aim to respond within one business day.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information so we can set up your Service.
- Keep a working home internet connection and the home-based device running.
- Use the Service lawfully and in line with the terms of the services you access.
Availability & disclaimers
We work hard to keep things running smoothly, but we can't guarantee that every service, website, or network will always work perfectly in every location. The Service is provided "as is" to the fullest extent permitted by law, and we disclaim warranties not expressly stated here.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quiet Exit is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
